Sometime people ask me about affiliate marketing opportunities — are they still out there? Can you still make money?
The short answer is “yes”, now more than ever. Here's a simple example.
As many of you know, I play softball. Recently, my right foot started hurting near the heel and under the arch. I'm 45 years old, and I play games that are designed for young men, so having various body parts that hurt is expected. Advil cures most ailments, but this pain would not go away. To make a long story short, I finally went to the doctor and found out that my problem is plantar fasciitis.
Now, I know that I had heard that somewhere before. So, immediately after getting the diagnosis, I did the exact same thing that everyone does these days — I Googled it! Immediately, I saw ads, and as an affiliate marketer, that temporarily distracted me from my foot pain. Using Keyword Canine to search for plantar fasciitis, I could see that there are a lot of other people out there with hurting feet as well. Not only that, but there are ClickBank products — and one has pretty decent gravity.
Might be an interesting niche to check out. I was personally tempted to buy the leading ClickBank product.
Anyway, the point is that affiliate marketing opportunities are all around you. Keep your eyes open.
I worked on a Squidoo lens on that topic once! For someone from ClickNewz….Oh, I think it was Pam. I just recommended to my daughter the other day that she freeze a bottle of water so she could roll her foot on it. And I learned that from that lens.

I did the same thing when I got diagnosed with degenerative disk disease: figured out if I could be an affiliate and a resource. Ha!

My wife and I are big tennis players and she had plantar fasciitis a few years ago and tried everything. She wound up buying a Strassburg sock. It worked well for her. She has had no problems since. It sales for $39.95 on Amazon.
