Show Notes
Amy Porterfield said that consistent content is key to a thriving online business. You must create content to help you attract your tribe. Whether its YouTube, Facebook live, podcasting or blogging — this is how people are initially going to find you.
I have a dream and my dream is to release this podcast every week without fail on Thursday morning at 6 a.m. but I have opportunities in doing a better job of producing consistent output. It's a common problem with people who are doing hustles on the side but recognizing that this is an issue is the first step to improvement and you got to stop comparing yourself to others.
Here are some tips on how you can create content consistently:
Plan everything in advance – have a content calendar. You can do this in Excel, in Google Sheets, in Trello, or wherever you are comfortable in. You don't need to flush it all out. Just something to jog your memory when you are going back to your list later.
Have a process flow β a template or a checklist will do, to move through the steps.
Use plugins β those which will help you understand what keywords you're targeting and get you through the publishing process. It also ensures that your blog is maintained in good condition.
Batching β if you have big blocks of time, you can do multiple episodes / articles in one sitting.
Be in a distraction-free environment – if you're writing, turn everything off and just put the writing right in front of you.
Outsource – Look at your process and consider delegating things to others. Maybe hire one person for editing, another for transcriptions, and so on.
It is essential that you create content consistently and itβs okay if you struggle with this. What's important is the journey to betterness.
