In this episode, we talk to Andrew Hansen about Forever Affiliate success rates. Remember, in episode 067 I talked a little about the hard truth about affiliate marketing. In episode 068, we went through several listener responses and questions that came in after episode 067. Specifically, we addressed stuff like whether or not people can actually make money online, why the failure rate seems to be so high, and what the reasons for that failure might be. In this episode, we hear what Andrew has to say.

Episode 069 Transcript
As promised, I have for you today an interview with Andrew Hansen regarding Forever Affiliate live from London. Well, not exactly live. Andrew is in London, but the time difference is such that I had to interview him in the middle of the night in Dallas time. It was 4:00 in the morning. I wanted to ask him these questions that we’ve been asking.
It’s just that he’s a little hard to get a hold of these days because he’s working on a new product that complements Forever Affiliate with an increased focus on search engine optimization. I’m going to host a webinar about that next week. You can find out more about that at LateNightIM.com/andrewwebinar. Until that time, I have an interview with Andrew for you where we continue this discussion about Forever Affiliate.
Does it work? What has he observed? For the people who fail, why do they fail? What does he think about that? I ask him these hard questions for a product creator. Full disclosure, you have a guy who made money selling a product being interviewed by a guy who made money promoting a product. Let’s just get that out there on the table. Another piece of full disclosure is that Andrew is a friend of mine.
I consider him a friend, even though we’ve never actually met face-to-face. I’ve been working with Andrew on and off since late 2007, early 2008, since he had his Niche Marketing on Crack product. That was one of the first products that he had way back in the day. Take all that into consideration as you process Andrew’s answers. One of the key things about all this is that you have to take responsibility for your own judgments and assessments of this stuff.
I’m going to bring it to you as straightforwardly as I can. You need to know all the facts going in. Those are all the disclaimers for you. This is a great interview with Andrew. If you want more Andrew, as I mentioned, he’s going to be teaching some SEO. Go ahead and register over at LateNightIM.com/andrewwebinar. Until then, I hope you enjoy this discussion with my buddy Andrew.
Excellent podcast Andrew and Mark. You guys covered the topic well, and the questions were fair and in-depth Mark. Let me ask a question. No one debates it is harder, or at least vastly different to attain success today than 3 years ago. Andrew mentions his oldest website making money presently is 2009. So…
What percentage of people “looking to buy” get their relevant buying information from something other than G? I’ll say more than we think. Firstly, they’re are much more likely on a mobile device and may never consider G, right? They buy their product based on a question they asked on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. I wonder how relevant this business model is, or is becoming – – someone going to G and typing in “Get 6 pack abs”. Thanks again.
Enjoyed the honest questions and answers. I was one of those people
that declared one of my sites as a failure too soon. About 4 months
into it I had built all of the recommended backlinks and done it the
recommended way. I had some decent traffic coming in and some rankings,
but no sales. Others in the FA private Facebook group said don’t give
up just yet and I didn’t completely give up on that one, but I did let
it sit dormant for about 4 months.
Fast forward to
about 3 months ago and I decided to continue building some backlinks
through additional comments and much to my surprise, I got not just 1,
but 2 sales in a week. I got another sale 2 weeks later and just got my
4th sale from that site last night while I was sleeping.
As
everyone said when you asked for feedback, there is no question that
the Forever Affiliate course itself is well worth the cost of the
program, sales or no sales. But with those 4 sales, the commissions
brought in are also double what I paid for the course.
Not all of your sites will be a success, but if you are getting rankings and traffic, don’t give up too soon!
Chris S. Hi Chris – I’m so glad to hear about the sales coming in for your site!! I definitely hear not to give up too quickly also – lucky for me I’m patient. I’m looking forward to the webinar next week.
See you on twitter!
