In this video, I am headed to Podcamp Dallas, and I couldn't be more excited. It was really nice to be asked, and in this video I share my thoughts about podcamp dallas and my presentation. Just made the slides last night.
Transcript:
Hey. It’s Mark Mason from Late Night Internet Marketing. I’m southbound and trucking along here on Dallas North Tollway this morning. It’s just before 8:00 in the morning on a Saturday.
I’m headed down to Podcamp Dallas – very exciting. I really feel privileged to have even been asked to speak at Podcamp Dallas. I don’t know how Gary found me, but find me he did.
Usually I wouldn’t choose to spend an entire Saturday away from my family to go do something like this, but I was just so excited about it and my wife was very supportive. That’s very much appreciated by me, I’m very fortunate in that regard. I’m fortunate to have been asked and fortunate to have a support system that allows me to do this kind of stuff.
I was making my slides last night and this morning I’m ready to go. Gary tells me that he will be recording the sessions, so hopefully I’ll end up with a video that you guys can see. Maybe I will even get some clips from the event itself that I can upload here on the video blog that you guys can enjoy.
It’s going to be really cool. I know a couple of listeners have already reached out to me to let me know they’re going to be there. I can’t wait to meet those people; in some cases for the very first time face-to face, and in other cases I’ll be meeting them again. I’m looking forward to that.
I’ve also had a few people reach out to me that listen to Cliff and heard me on Cliff’s podcast, so I’ll get to meet some of Cliff’s community as well. That’s also very cool and I’m looking forward to it.
I just wanted to check in with you guys and let you know what I was up to on a Saturday morning.
I have a guess how Gary found out about you…. 🙂
Heard your presentation stole the show! Kick ass man, can’t wait to see the video!
Thanks man. I thought it might have been you. Owe you (another) one.
It was really fun — but you guys were a tough act to follow.
“This one time at Podcamp…” Oh great, Mark! Now I’m gonna be saying that all day! Sheesh!
Don’t know how I got so behind on your blog – there are like 3 or 4 posts that I missed. Happy to be catching up. Wish I still lived there – there are so many events now. When I was there, I think there was only one event on 35 near Downtown, maybe it was a Joel Comm thing. I can’t remember, just have a picture in my head of where it was. And nope, I didn’t make it to that.
Of course, B’ham is hopping but my van is “resting”. Ha!
Will be awesome to get to see your talk!
Would be great to see you in Dallas again…thanks for dropping in. Glad that made you laugh….I love that movie.
