The other thing you can do as an internet marketer is work during your downtime. This is one of my favorites. You can get stuff done during your lunch hour if you’re workplace permits it. A really good thing to get done during your lunch hour is social marketing.

If you can surf the web at work and nobody minds what you type into Twitter go ahead and do some of your social marketing during your daytime at work while you’re on the computer instead of buying stuff at Amazon.com or whatever it is you normally do on the computer.

You can also get stuff done in the car. I have a quite a little drive into work every day and there are two things that I do in the car. I listen to educational audios, either books on tape from Audible or something like the Internet Business Mastery podcast, or Internet Marketing This Week. The other thing that I do thought that’s been incredibly effective for me is I dictate content.

I bought a little Sony MP3 voice recorder, Sony calls it an IC Recorder. It’s got a little USB port on the end of it, I dictate into that and a transcriptionists transcribes that. Let’s say I’m dictating a blog post, she’ll transcribe it for me, add graphics and affiliate as needed, and post it directly to my blog in draft mode waiting for me to do final edits. It’s really quite cool.

You can also work while you’re watching mindless television. If you want to have a successful internet business just turn the damn TV off. This is just a total waste of your time. You need to stop watching TV or at least bring your laptop in front of the TV and get something done while you’re burning all that daylight watching TV.

A great time to develop this habit is during the summer while everything is in reruns anyway. Maybe you make an exception for one show, but don’t get in this habit of turning on the television and flipping from show to show and use that as a way to avoid working on your business.

This has been another post in our Part-Time Internet Business Series at MasonWorld.com, where we build successful internet businesses one night at a time.
